Dwarfs are mythical creatures, that have been around for hundreds of years in stories, narrations or mythologies.
Dwarfs come from the Norse mythology. Frequently, the dwarf was portrayed as a short person with a beard, who was wearing a pointed cap. Enchanting, cunning, greedy, treacherous but still mostly helpful are the qualities, that are ascribed to the dwarfs.
Compared to other mythical creatures, dwarfs are not tied to a specific place or house, so they live like humans in society on their own.

Die Zwerge unterscheiden sich, wie wir Menschen auch, im Aussehen, Statur, Charakter und nehmen ihre Pflichten sehr ernst. Die Zwerge sind grundsätzlich gegenüber den Menschen freundlich und seit hunderten von Jahren sehr auf Abstand. Werden sie gesehen und gereizt so sind sie sehr eigen und beim falschen Verhalten gegenüber den Zwergen wendet die Freundlichkeit in Rachsucht um. Dann heißt es der böse Zwerg, was wohl eher einen Grund birgt.
In stories dwarfs usually appear as artful blacksmiths, who forged weapons and armor for the knights and warriors of that time.
